Once you have selected the perfect bed and mattress, it is time for the finishing touches that will transform your bedroom into a fully equipped, functional oasis. Benches and nightstands are not just visual accessories - they are essential elements that make your daily routine simpler and more comfortable. Our range focuses on elegant, upholstered models that bring that distinctive, luxurious "hotel-like" ambiance to your home through their design, colors, and textures.

Why are bedside nightstands an indispensable part of the bedroom?

We all have small items we want to keep within reach before sleep or immediately upon waking. Nightstands serve as your personal, mini-storage zone. You can place a bedside lamp, a book, a glass of water, a phone, or glasses on them without needing to get out of your warm bed. By choosing upholstered nightstands (such as our Astra models), you avoid the sharp edges of classic wooden furniture, while the sturdy top surface ensures stability for all your belongings.

Where to place a bench and what is its true function?

The most popular and logical place for a bench is at the foot of your double bed. Its function is multi-purpose:

   • Practical seating: Provides a comfortable place to sit while dressing, putting on shoes, or preparing for the workday.

   • Bedding storage: An ideal surface to place decorative pillows or day spreads overnight so they don't end up on the floor.

   • Visual balance: Bedroom benches (such as the Aurora, Astra, or Luna models) visually "complete" the bed, giving it a frame and a touch of sophistication.

How to perfectly coordinate these accessories with your bed?

The secret to premium interior design lies in the harmony of materials. Our benches and nightstands are designed to be perfectly combined with Hespo upholstered beds. You can choose the same fabric shades (such as elegant grey or warm beige) to create a unified look, or play with the legs - match the metal or wooden legs of the nightstand and bench with those on your bed for a flawless designer impression.

Frequently Asked Questions about Benches and Nightstands (FAQ)

1. What is the ideal height for a nightstand relative to the bed?

Ergonomic rules state that the top surface of the nightstand should be level with the top of your mattress, or possibly a few centimeters lower or higher. This allows you to reach for things easily and without strain while lying down, and also creates the most beautiful visual harmony.

2. Are benches intended exclusively for the bedroom?

Although they are most commonly called auxiliary benches for the foot of a double bed, these pieces of furniture are extremely versatile. They fit perfectly in a spacious hallway as a comfortable place to put on shoes, in a walk-in closet (wardrobe), or even under a window in the living room as an additional, elegant seating option.

3. How to properly maintain and clean upholstered nightstands and benches?

Maintaining upholstered furniture is very simple. Regular, gentle vacuuming of dust using a soft furniture attachment is recommended. If a small stain occurs on the fabric, it is best to treat it immediately with a slightly damp cloth and a drop of mild detergent, dabbing (never rubbing harshly) so as not to damage the fabric. The top (glass or solid) surface of the nightstand only needs to be wiped with a standard glass or dust cleaner.

4. Must the width of the bench be the same as the width of the bed?

No, in fact, it is design-wise preferable for the bench to be slightly narrower than the width of your bed. For example, if you have a 160 cm or 180 cm wide bed, a bench between 100 cm and 140 cm wide will look very proportional and elegant, leaving enough room for unobstructed passage around the corners of the bed.

5. Do I need to have two nightstands in the bedroom?

If you share the space with a partner and have a double bed with access from both sides, two nightstands are an absolute imperative for functionality and spatial symmetry. If the room is smaller and the bed is placed against a wall on one side, one nightstand will be quite sufficient.
